Crash Out 'Monotony'

Lauren Weisberger's third novel in the set - Chasing Harry Winston - is my favorite among the three. It's so like Sex and the City, and it so reminds me of my girl friends back in high school, my Homies.

It's a story of three very different girls, in their late twenties, living completely different lives. It revolves in fashion and events, travel and lifestyle, love and more love, and friendship, despite them all.

And when they came to the point of unhappiness, they take on a challenge. One who's an unfailing party girl tries to settle down to a relationship; one who's left to deal that his 5-year relationship has to die tries to let go of the dream to get married and have a family the soonest time possible and just travel and hook up, and the third one whose work, love, family, and all else are sailing as smoothly as anyone would hope so, admits to herself that she's not in love with his fiance. And they shook off the monotony of their lives, and lived fully, with no fear of failing.

But when all else fails, you know you won't hit the ground, there's someone who's ready to catch you.

Taking a challenge to refrain from life's monotony can be a bit scary. Difficult. But there's a lot of good things that may bring. From there, you can learn what you really want, and how you're going to get it.

Monotony is the one thing that I would never want to happen in my life. Mistakes, regrets, they're all part of life, that's how you grow. Fear of committing mistakes can leave you monotonous, thus, miserable.

So enjoy life while you can. Live to the fullest. Enjoy friends and the crazy time spent with them. Enjoy love and its roller coaster ride. Enjoy life no matter how harshly it drags you on a rocky road.

Homies, I miss you :(  You have to read this :)
