Pilipinas 2015: Sea Turtles and Serenity

Escape to Apo Island.

A 30-minute bus and 45-minute boat ride away from Dumaguete, Apo Island has been one of the quick escapes from the busy buzz of the city. Oh, the joys of just laying by the beach and soaking in all the beauty in this world! It's also a snorkeling and diving spot (nope, don't be confused with Apo Island and Apo Reef. They're two different places), where you can swim with the Sea Turtles and appreciate the exotic sea life!

We stayed in Apo Island Beach Resort, swam with the turtles even with the not so good weather, ate our meals, and just inhaled in all the goodness of nature. The waters are not very calm, but that made us go surfing on boats to and from the island. Hihi

A little note: The place isn't developed yet so expect no flowing availability of fresh water, and no electricity from 10 pm - 6 pm. The see breeze is pretty nice though, so that should be fine if you're willing to sleep with the doors and windows open.

Basically, we got our much needed downtime.

Kisses. Hugs. And oh, the beauty of nature!
