24 Hours in Prague: A Travel Diary

Praha, Czech Republic - 01-02 August 2016

While this is 4 months late, I'm still gonna flood you with the photos of our quick stopover in Prague. It might not be worth a read, but I promise you it's worth a scroll. heee

We weren't very lucky with the Airbnb we booked in Prague, with the host not showing up and us wasting our precious energy lugging our two weeks worth of baggage around the city for the first two hours (of our barely 24 hours) in Prague, I still consider Prague as one of the most beautiful experiences I've had traveling, and one of the top cities I want to re-visit. So, here goes!

Day 1.
13:30 Arrival at Prague Vaclav Havel Airport
14:30 Walking around the city center, near the Jerusalem (Jubilee) Synagogue, with our luggages, waiting for our unreachable host. Frustrated.
16:00 Got hungry, and hopeless. Off to the Municipal House in time for happy hour at the Plzenska Restaurace. Must must must try!!!
17:00 Tried to drop by the Airbnb again, with no luck. Wasted another hour looking for a place to stay for the night. Lucky for us Chopin Hotel got 2 last rooms.

18:00 Finally! Off without our heavy stuff. DIY Walking tour around the city center.
Old Town Square / Staromestske Namesti - Astronomical Clock, Rococo Kinsky Palace, Gothic Tyn Cathedral Baroque, St. Nicholas Church. With Trdelnik in one hand, and ice cold beer in the another, that was definitely a walk to remember.
24:00 Crashed in our beds, and snored the night away.

Day 2.
05:00 Took the train to STAROMESTSKA to see the breathtaking Charles Bridge (Karluv Most)
06:15 Lennon Wall, and hearing our tummies growl. Ha ha
07:00 Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral
08:00 Back to the hotel for breakfast. Well, we tried going back to the Old Town Square to have another Trdelnik moment, but their shops don't open till 10. Hu hu
08:15 Breakfast at the hotel, then freshened up to check out and head to the airport.

Well that was not even 24 hours, was it? We had a full 24 hours from arrival to departure, if you count the number of hours we were out touring, that was just 9 hours!  Still, we were definitely in content. A genuine travel experience we'll never forget.

Getting back to the present, I'm currently listening to beautiful Christmas Music to get me in the mood for the holidays. I've just finished compiling things for the pages of my Travel Scrapbook Project. It's not going anywhere fast and nice, but I'll get there.

Blessed to have been able to travel to dreamy places this year, I am in Cloud 9 just reminiscing these precious moments.

Kisses. Hugs. And forget the buts and what-ifs. Go see. Go experience.
