24 Hours in Brussels: A Travel Diary

Brussels, Belgium - 13 August 2016

Here's a quick photodump of our day in Brussels. For now, just a few rashly transferred photos (to the phone) while on vacation.

From Paris, we took an early morning train to Bruxelles-Midi, dropped our stuff in the Apartments Apart office, as it was way before check in time, and went on our way to experience Brussels. Yes, we came for Belgian waffles, Belgian Frites, Belgian chocolates, Belgian Beer!

And did I say Belgian Waffles???!

Oh the charm of Brussels. It fed my hungry soul.

On the itinerary:

Grand Place. Manneken Pis. St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral - I'll have to fill you in with more photos, and more details. Wait up for the next Brussels entry, please?

Leonidas. Godiva. Fritland. Chez Leon - We said we're going to Brussels for the food, and that was exactly what we got! Free chocolate-tasting in every store we stepped into, frites until we can't have any more, and good food and good beer before crashing home. Gastronomic heaven! Craving for just all these everyday for a month after we got back home. Oh, what traveling does!

Musical Instrument Museum - missed this. we were a couple minutes late for the last entry, soooo, no perfect panoramic view of the city at sundown. Pfft.

Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert - nice strip. Food, shopping, charm!

We just got one full day in the capital city of Belgium, and the capital of the European Union, and there's a lot to see, and eat, and drink, and feeeel. Oh, I immersed in it all. I've had a lovely experience in Brussels. Walked around the city a lot, ate a lot, laughed a lot, felt so much. I loved every minute of the day.

Kisses. Hugs. And go on trips to feed not just your stomach, but also your soul.
