Princess Feels in the Palace of Versailles

Chateau De Versailles - 11 Aout 2016

Paris Day 2.

We took the train from Paris to Versailles, roughly an hour and 15 minutes of train rides, with 2 interchanges. Except for the pickpockets every where, the trip was pretty smooth.

Then we got here. Oh, it was majestic! A feast for the eyes, and definitely a happy party place for the mind of a history buff.

7 hours wasn't enough to see everything! The place is so beautiful and so rich, I just wanted to take it all in!

Some tips well learned:

1. Be sure to buy round trip train tickets if you are going from and back to Paris to avoid queuing again in Versailles metro.

2. Get your tickets online. {Passport 18 euros, Souvenir coin 5 euros}. You'll have to fall in 2 queues if you don't. No time to waste!

3. Speaking of queues, be there as early as possible. Before they open would be ideal. Even if you've bought tickets online, you'd still have to go through security and it get's pretty dragging. We got there at around 9:30, and it took more than an hour before we got to be inside the Chateau.

4. Take the mini trains, or rent bicycles to get to the Trianons. By the end of the day, you'd be pretty beat, but that's not reason to miss the Trianons and the Hamlet. Totally a must visit!

5. Read your history. You'll appreciate it more if you know what you're actually looking at. Especially if you're doing the visit without a guide.

6. Ooohhhh! And allot a full day to visit this grand palace. It will be worth it!

Kisses. Hugs. And a tick off the bucketlist of a Princess. Haha

P.S.
This is the fourth of N number of posts for my Eurotrip Travel Journal.
Days 1 and 3 of Paris here.
And the last 3 days of the Eurotour - Brussels and Amsterdam there.
Heee!
