Of Stairways and Pools

27th of March, 2010. My Summer has officially started. I was not really expecting that this plan could still be achieved since we've had this planned out passingly since December of last year, and the weekdays before that weekend, we kind of cancelled the thought of us going there together for a lot of small reasons.

And I was so glad that that Friday night, we've finally finalized it; Even if it's just the four of us.

And after a hearty breakfast in McDonald's, and buying food that would get us through the day, we headed off to Imelda Aroma Mountain Paradise: A Royal Vista Resort. Part of our adventure was finding the place, because none of us knew the exact location, and when we asked the one in charge of the tickets for the bus (we rode the Ceres bus going there), he doesn't know where the resort was. So for all of you who have plans of going there, the full address of the place is 121 Sitio Ilaya, Centro Maca-as, Catmon. You just have to be observant. When you see the signage welcoming you to Maca-as Catmon, you have to look left for the signage of Imelda Aroma Mountain Paradise (and, and, take note of the little waiting shed too before the little road leading you to the resort, though it wasn't of much help to us. haha)

Luckily, one of us saw the sign. So we walked about 500meters from the highway before we got to the resort. And then, the frontdesk. There are two choices for the room type: The Waterside and the Waterview Rooms. The price they gave us was 1,800 Php per night for double occupancy. The extra persons would just have to pay their entrance fee of 100Php. And if you may see other blog sites telling you that it includes breakfast, don't expect so, because the rooms don't include the breakfast for two anymore. And I would also suggest that you'd just bring your meals. It would only cost you a corkage fee of 200Php as compared to their chicken or pork meal of 120Php per serving. It's not so economical. We weren't able to anticipate that much for the meal rates.

The signage right outside the resort entrance.

Frontdesk.

Up the 75 steps to the Waterview Rooms.

Our Room. Number 7.

A unique room at the center of the Lazy River.
2,000 Php/night for 2persons.
I kind of regret why we didn't get this room.
I don't even know why we didn't. tsk

And the Lazy River Up the Mountain.

The First Pool when you get inside.
The unique pool for kids with slides from a tree trunk.

The ultimate pool. From 3 ft to 6 ft deep.
The much longer slide is from the lazy river ...
To this pool.
Actually, when you slide down either of the slides,
you'll end up splashing on this pool.

Jacuzzi.

Their cottage.
500-800Php for day use.
Day use is from 8am through 6pm.

Waterside Rooms.

Waterview Rooms.
After climbing up the 75 steps, you'll get here.
These rooms are also near the lazy river.

Up the Grotto.
A place for contemplation.

The pretty view from the Grotto.

Their nice pathway full of flowers.

And their really tall and thin-trunked coconut trees.

There's alot more to tell about this place, but I'd give you the chance to explore and find out by yourselves.
It is one great place to chillax and love summer.
