Shadows

What we were for the first week of being an orientee: Shadows.
Follow what our Seniors or Juniors in the unit are doing, and how they do it. Learn what's ideal and learn to practice it.

I needed to keep my mind and body in sync. And it was a little too difficult for me to keep up with them after more than a year of not-being-a-nurse. But it was at the same time great to be back in my field.

But I can't deny: I got so tired. My body has yet to adjust to all the walking, and going up and down the stairs, and to the standing up for long hours.

But I really like my unit. I hope I get absorbed here. Pray, pray, pray. I hope that this coming weeks of being an orientee wouldn't be so hard. Shifting starts on Monday, and our very own patient load. Oh well.
